DICE-INVENT 2014 is
an Innovation Driven Business Startup Competition & Entrepreneurship
Training Program for Pakistani Youth. The objectives of DICE-INVENT 2014
are to give a head start to the next generation of Innovators and
Entrepreneurs; bridge the industry-academia gap, promote inter academia
collaboration; and in general; promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
The theme of DICE-INVENT 2014 is:
“Startups Today :: Enterprises Tomorrow”
As part of this competition, CED IBA Karachi has conducted training
workshops on entrepreneurship in different Universities all over
Pakistan training more than 3000 students & 200 faculty members from all
disciplines & career paths on how to commercialize their
products/services. In Continuum, we are having another training
workshop, this time via Video Conferencing, on Thurs 3rd July, 2014
from 10:15am-1:15pm (Time For the main session).
This session will be broadcasted to selected Universities (approximately
30 in number) across Pakistan through HEC Video Conferencing link so we
request HEC to create a Video Conferencing Link for this session as well

Vice Chancellor chaired a meeting regarding sub campus Khuzdar on 7th
March 2014. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Mehrab Baloch, Registrar Muhammad
Tariq, Engg. Farooq Badini and Muhammad Alam Jatak were also there. In the
meeting they reviewed the infrastructure, commencement of classes,
educational activities and future plans of sub campus. Initially five
Master programs (M.Com, MBA, Education, Economics, Sociology) will start
current year. Mr. Muhammad Alam Jatak (of UET Khuzdar) has been appointed as Administrator of sub
campus.

- Transport section and FTDC had jointly
organized one day skilled based training program conducted by the
Hino Pak Motors on Thursday (06th Feb 2014) for the drivers of UoB. This
skilled based training covered "Periodic Maintenance, Daily Inspection
and Eco Driving" topics. In total 35 participants attended this training
session.
